Multi Sport Custom Tours in Patagonia Chile
The Futaleufú Valley has been attracting worldly adventurers for around 20 years. It is no wonder as this beautiful area offers a wealth of outdoor recreation possibilities. It is an amazing playground and our multi sport trips include a variety of activities to maximize your experience in this part of Chile. Originally made famous because of the incredible and huge white water on the Futaleufú River, Rafting and Kayaking are very popular activities here today. On your stay with us we will arrange a white water float with a local river company employing top notch international river guides for you to enjoy the world class rapids. If wild white water is not your thing we can float the much easier but very scenic Espolón River right from the door of our Lodge. We have both inflatable sea Kayaks and rafts to choose from.
Lago Espolón is a five-minute drive or a nice short hike or bike ride out the back door and the sea kayaking and fly fishing on this lake is superb. Did we mention the swimming? Dive into this crystal clear lake and lie on a secluded beach looking up at glaciers and awe-inspiring peaks. After all, relaxing is an important part of any Family vacation. For those interested in learning to fly fish in Chile, let this be your opportunity to wet a line and practice casting on this trout filled gem. Lu and his guides are excellent instructors and can have you catching fish in no time.
Hiking opportunities abound around the lodge and can be as simple as a 3-mile easy walk along the river to an all day adventure in the peaks of Patagonia. Anyway you turn, there are great hiking options right out the door. These can be combined with whitewater Rafting, Fly fishing, Horseback riding or Mountain Biking for an event filled day in Chile.
Our good friends, who are life long residents of Futaleufú have a horseback riding business and offer many fun excursions ranging from a few hours to a full day. A ride with them is a must for an authentic Chilean experience.
At the lodge we have seven Specialized Rockhopper mountain bikes that offer yet another way to explore this fascinating valley. There are no paved roads here except the main streets of Futaleufú and the dirt roads of the valley are perfect for mountain bikes. If you are a more serious biker we will ask you to bring your shoes and pedals to avoid compatibility problems. Otherwise these bikes are equipped with flat pedals and can be ridden in hiking boots or running shoes.
Sightseeing and Photography options are numerous as well and scenic boat trips and drives can take you to some fascinating places including a relaxing hot springs surrounded by temperate rain forest 2 hours away by car and the extensive Parque Pumalin, a treasure in itself. On our multi sport trips we will present a variety of options for the group and each day embark on exciting activities.
We feel fortunate to be situated right in the middle of one of the greatest recreation areas in the world and are sure that after a stay at the Valle Bonito you will not only be refreshed and recharged, you will already be planning your next trip to Chile.
